It's not surprising that many people overlook the incredible potential for selling information online when you see the top of the bestseller list are celebrities or politicians.

But here's the plain truth, there are hundreds of thousands of other small business, entrepreneurs, professionals and people just like you who became so fed up with their job and lifestyle achieving amazing results selling information.

Having over 10-years of direct experience in this industry has allowed us to confirm that there is profit in selling information in almost every market imaginable, and some you haven't even imagined yet.

What are these wealthy online entrepreneurs selling?

Remember, selling information online is all about matching an urgent, high-demand desire from desperate buyers with timely information. If you commit to become involved in a certain market (health, business, home improvement, travel, food and wine, self-improvement, hobby-based interest, just to name a few), then you will automatically access the desires and techniques you can share with your market - charging a nice profit as you dig deeper into your market.

An example, I recently hired a group of trades people to finish my basement. They have a stellar reputation and had recently figured out that if they filmed themselves renovating they could release a basement design and renovation DVD that would bring them in more revenue AND get them far more work at higher prices. A perfect example of how you can simply market your involvement in a market to launch your own business selling information.

2. Write solid sales copy. Oh no, you scream!

This is where I lose you? Don't be scared, you can do it. You need to become an expert at converting your product features into benefits, turn your sales page into a compelling story, create an offer your visitor's can't refuse and make sure you create urgency...oh and one more important thing - don't bore your visitors!

Selling information is all about solving problems, helping your market achieve their goals, dreams, desires and wishes faster and easier. Your sales letter and marketing must clearly demonstrate how your information will help them achieve these results.

Learning to market yourself through writing is one of the single most important skills you will ever learn seriously improving your chances of succeeding online selling information.

Start by studying the masters of direct response copywriting - you can find their books at reasonable prices at your local bookstore or Amazon.com. Look for names like Joe Sugarman, David Ogilvy, John Caples, Gary Halbert and even some of the current internet masters of copywriting such as Michel Fortin, Yanik Silver and Joe Vitale.

3. Develop a solid, automated selling machine!

The key word is "automated". Create your own online selling machine that continually pulls in leads, creates interest and anticipation, exposes your products and services and converts leads into customers.

You want to finish a project, and then be able to take a trip, enjoy life, or if you're like me, jump into the next project with all three feet!

The backbone of your automated selling machine is your own autoresponder - let's you send out your own eCourse, newsletter, automated sales letter sequence, surveys, feedback forms, solo blasts and more. All scheduled before hand.

4. Selling Information Secret - The Back End.

While you can bring in a decent return on a $27 ebook, even less on a traditionally published book, anyone making serious profits selling information will tell you the big reward is in the back-end.

Tell me, does this make sense? You put all of your effort, time and investment into convincing a prospect to buy your information, then you walk away and do it all over again?

Its insane frankly.

Selling information to your buyer is their vote of confidence in you and your ability to help them achieve an end result. In most cases, that means they are open to additional systems, techniques, strategies, and help that will get them there faster.

So, by offering a higher-priced back-end offering (either one you develop or one that you license or joint venture to provide) is not only an opportunity to make more profit, its expected by many of your buyers.

As you can see, selling information is not only a massive opportunity, but is not as hard as many people first think.
